Clinical Medical Assistant
Liberty Adult Education in partnership with Boston Reed College is offering a Clinical Medical Assistant
Training Program. A Clinical Medical Assistant can pursue employment as a healthcare professional
in a physician's office or clinical setting. Clinical Medical Assistants assist with procedures,
caring for patients, performing simple laboratory tests and administering medications. This course
provides an excellent training opportunity for anyone with a desire to work in the thriving healthcare
field helping people. The Clinical Medical Assistant program also qualifies as a prerequisite for Boston
Reed College's Vocational Nursing Program.
Forensic Phlebotomy
Completion of the 128 hour Diablo Medical Training (DMT) program for CPT 1 will enable students to sit for the National Exam and after passing can apply for the State of California phlebotomy license. The Diablo Medical Training Phlebotomy Program is accredited by the State of California Department of Health Services (DHS).
This program consists of two parts: 40 hours of In school didactic and practical training (over approximately 7 weeks); and includes 80 hours of clinical externship, duration is subject to availability but generally less than 4 weeks. In addition, students learn how to collect chain of custody urine collection procedures and the use of the DOT Custody and Control Form (CCF). Students perform five mock collections that meet the training requirements of the DOT regulations. All training materials and training in this course will provide up-to-date DOT regulatory information and the latest in learning technology. After completion of this course students will receive a certification of completion

Pharmacy Technician
Liberty Adult Education in partnership with Boston Reed College is offering a comprehensive Pharmacy
Technician training program. A Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist with mixing and
packaging prescriptions, referring clients to the pharmacist for counseling, inventory control and
purchasing, as well as collecting payment and coordinating billing. Pharmacy Technicians are in demand
as one of the fastest growing occupations in healthcare. This course is designed to prepare
graduates for a career as a Pharmacy Technician. Curriculum includes materials to prepare graduates
for national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination. Course Fee: $2,995
(prices subject to change) includes textbooks, course materials, externship placement and certificate
of completion. Class Instruction: 182 hours Pharmacy Externship: 120 hours
